Art Preparator, Part Time
Maintenance of permanent collection; fabrication, installation and de-installation of temporary exhibitions under the direction of the Director of Operations. Primary responsibility is the safe and careful handling of art objects.
Prior Museum preparatory or related Museum experience required. Knowledge of basic construction and finish carpentry also required, mount making a plus. Must demonstrate competence in handling works of art. Must demonstrate safe use of shop equipment, power tools, and lift equipment.
Must be able to stand for long periods. Must be able to bend and reach to lift. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds. Heavy usage of manually controlled equipment. Must have good manual dexterity and visual acuity skills.
