Jacob van Ruisdael was one of the most famous Dutch landscape painters of the 17th century. In Three Great Trees in a Mountainous Landscape with a River, Ruisdael combines trees, hills and rivers drawn from nature in a pleasing composition of his own invention. Create your own landscape using elements from the landscape paintings in the galleries.
