Discover approaches to drawing the human head and hands with artist Richard Houston. Working from masterworks in the Museum’s collections, students explore drawing heads and hands through a series of discussions, demonstrations and exercises.

Drawing the Head
The first class addresses the rudiments of drawing the human head. Working in the Rembrandt galleries, students begin with an investigation of basic proportions, followed by simplified approaches to the construction of the head as a three-dimensional volume.


Meets in Entrance Gallery | All levels of experience are welcome. Each class is $20 ($16 for members), and space is limited to 18 participants.
