Discover approaches to drawing the human head and hands with artist Richard Houston. Working from masterworks in the Museum’s collections, students explore drawing heads and hands through a series of discussions, demonstrations and exercises.
Heads and Hands: The Renaissance and Baroque
Students investigate the ways in which Renaissance and Baroque artists approached heads and hands in their image making. Comparing works by such masters as Raphael, Jan Massys and Guido Reni, students have an opportunity to explore the stylistic differences between Renaissance and Baroque sensibilities.
Meets in Entrance Gallery | All levels of experience are welcome. Each class is $20 ($16 for members), and space is limited to 18 participants.
