Internships

Summer Interships
  • Open To: Students interested in museum careers who are college seniors, recent graduates or graduate students majoring in art history or related fields
  • Term: Ten (10) consecutive weeks beginning in June and ending in September
  • Stipend: $2,500 for the 10 week period (30 hours a week)
  • Deadline: All applications must be received by February 15 and all letters of response will be mailed by April 15.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: general research for administrative and curatorial projects, organization and maintenance of art files, general correspondence, and assistance with collections management and with exhibition preparation. Internship Application
Academic Internships
  • Open To: Graduate students in art history or museum studies
  • Term: Nine (9) months, beginning in September and ending in June
  • Stipend: $2,000 per month (37.5 hours a week)
  • Deadline: All applications must be received by February 15 and all letters of response will be mailed by April 15.
Reading knowledge of at least one foreign language is required. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: correspondence related to the collection, assisting visiting professionals, curatorial research, support for temporary and changing exhibitions, collections management projects, and various writing projects to include didactics, newsletter bulletins and press announcements. The intern will be expected to complete one independent project, identified by the Museum. Internship Application
