Film Series: Cinematic Touchstones 1975

Celebrate the diverse cinema from 1975 (the year the Museum opened) with a series of films that serve as cultural touchstones from the period. Each film begins with an introduction by Joe Petricca, filmmaker, educator and organizer of the series. Held on select Saturdays in August.


Free with Museum admission.

No reservations taken. The theater opens at 3:00 p.m. and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

In this iconic documentary film, meet Big and Little Edie Beale: mother and daughter, high-society dropouts and reclusive cousins of Jackie Onassis. The two manage to thrive together amid the decay and disorder of their mansion in East Hampton, New York, making for an eerily ramshackle echo of the American Camelot.
