Not on View

Jawlensky traveled to France several times between 1903 and 1907. In addition to stays in Paris, he worked in Brittany and visited Provence and the Riviera. He admired van Gogh's paintings and acquired a painting by the Dutch artist in 1908. Van Gogh influenced not only Jawlensky's choice of subjects but also his use of simple compositions and vibrant colors.
