Guided Tours: Free, one-hour tours of the Museum collections are offered every Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and on the first Friday (at 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.) and the last Sunday (at 1:00 p.m.) of every month. Tours are limited to 25 participants. Please sign up and meet at the Information Desk. Click here to see what tours are offered this season.
Private tours of the Norton Simon Museum collections and gardens provide a unique and intimate way to experience art. Conducted by on-staff Museum Educators, private tours can be scheduled any day of the week during closed or open hours, with the exception of Tuesdays as per availability.
During the special exhibition, Tête à Tête: Three Masterpieces from the Musée d’ Orsay, from March 27 through June 22, 2015, private tours will be offered before the Museum opens as per availability and on selected Monday and Wednesday afternoons, excluding holidays. Private tours of this exhibition are not available on the weekends.

Fees for private tours must be paid in full at least three weeks in advance of the scheduled tour date. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to receive a refund.

Independent tour operators may guide groups through the Museum during public hours. Each patron in the group must pay the appropriate admission fee. Operators are asked to defer to Norton Simon Museum Educators who display NSM badges. Tours must be conducted in groups of 15 or less. Tour buses are to unload passengers on Colorado Boulevard adjacent to the Museum. Buses may then park on Colorado Boulevard or on Walnut Street, as city signs permit. Buses are not permitted to unload passengers or park in the Museum parking lot. Security personnel are available to provide assistance.
Please note: Independent tour operators are not permitted to conduct tours in the exhibition Tête-à-Tête: Three Masterpieces from the Musée d’Orsay.
