This special installation brings together two extraordinary, interrelated paintings for the first time: Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres’s Madame Moitessier (1856), on loan from the National Gallery, London, and Pablo Picasso’s Woman with a Book (1932), an icon of the Norton Simon collections.
