Drawing the Norton Simon Collections: Drawing Form

Artist and author Richard E. Scott conducts a six-session course, drawing from a variety of masterworks throughout the Museum. Students learn drawing techniques to improve visual perception, to find their own artistic voices and to enrich their museum-going experience.
In the second session, students explore how to create the illusion of three-dimensional form on a two-dimensional sheet of paper. Students apply these lessons to draw artworks in the Asian art collection.

- All levels of experience are welcome. Each class is $25 ($20 for members), and space is limited to 20 participants. All materials and admission to the galleries on the day of class are included.
