Join artist and author Richard E. Scott in exploring the Norton Simon’s collections and Sculpture Garden. Working in pencil, students learn how to look with an artist’s eye, gain confidence in a variety of mark-making techniques and enrich their museum-going experience.
In the first session, students learn how to see and interpret shapes in an artwork in order to draw accurately. They employ these observational techniques to draw works in the 20th-century collection.
