Join artist and author Richard E. Scott in this six-part drawing series. Working in graphite, students will learn how to see with the eyes of an artist, improve confidence in various techniques and enrich their museum-going experience. Students will be inspired by works across the Norton Simon Museum’s collections, including South and Southeast Asian sculpture, Renaissance and Baroque painting and 19th- and 20th-century European and American art.

November 15: Orchestrating with a Pencil—How to Add Refinement to a Drawing
November 22: How to Draw Perspective
December 13: How to Draw to Explore Composition
