Ceramics by Marguerite Wildenhain
This exhibition held at the Pasadena Art Museum displayed ceramics and pottery created by Marguerite Wildenhain (1896–1985). Born in France and educated in England and Germany, Wildenhain studied at the prestigious Bauhaus . In the US, she founded the influential Pond Farm Pottery workshop in Guerneville, California. Attracting students from around the world, Wildenhain taught ceramics while continuing to produce her own work. To complement the exhibition, Wildenhain also presented a lecture on the history and evolution of ceramics.
