Paintings by Joanne Calocerinos
Born on a small Greek island, Joanne Calocerinos eventually moved to Trenton, New Jersey, where she began painting at 20 years old. This exhibition displayed 21 of her colorful, abstract paintings, which she produced using a meditative and precise technique of concentrating on three inches of canvas at a time. Works on display included Tenderness (1959), Bell Tolls (1959) and Calypso (1960).
