Paintings by Shirl Goedike

A native Los Angeles painter, Shirl Goedike (1923–2000) held a one-man show at the Legion of Honor Museum in San Francisco and participated in exhibitions at the Denver Art Museum and Whitney Museum of American Art. For the exhibition at the Pasadena Art Museum, the artist displayed 31 works, many of which prominently featured French and Italian landscapes. His paintings on display included No Sun in Venice (1961), Landscape, Northern Italy (1960) and Breaking the Barrier (1959).
