Paintings from the Collection of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hazen

Art collectors Mr. and Mrs. Hazen lent eight paintings from their collection of contemporary art for this exhibition. Artists featured in the show included Karel Appel (1921–2006), Pierre Soulages (1919–2022), Georges Mathieu (1921–2012), Antonio Saura (1930–1998), Gérard Schneider (1896–1986), John Levee (1924–2017), Milton Resnick (1917–2004) and Hans Hofmann (1880–1966). The exhibition was organized by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and traveled to the Art Center of La Jolla and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art.
