Sculpture by Blanche Dombek
Held in the Contemporary Galleries of the Pasadena Art Museum, this exhibition featured 26 sculptures by Blanche Dombek (1914–1987). The artist stated that the inspiration for these works was found in the architecture of the churches in Vezelay, France. Several sculptures incorporated wood from oak beams taken from one of the churches which was destroyed in WWI. Sculptures on display included Buddha, Au Zoo, Female Figure and Portrait of a Woman.
