Investigating Goya's Etchings: Selections from Goya's 'Los Caprichos' allows visitors to study the evolution of the great Spanish artist’s compositions through a selection of twenty works including rare working proofs, hand-colored images, and early edition prints from Los Caprichos. Goya’s earliest and most famous series of etchings, these bold caricatures satirize the attitudes, morals, and behaviors of 18th century Spanish society. In an intimate gallery setting, visitors are able to compare several editions of an image, and to discover the various changes that makes each individual impression unique.
