Picasso: Graphic Magician surveys Picasso’s long, prolific career as a printmaker, and emphasizes his technical virtuosity and ingenuity as well as the multifaceted nature of his imagery. The extensive display of 120 prints covers the artist’s astounding range of activity in varied techniques over three quarters of a century, from 1905 to 1970. Exhibition highlights include: etchings from his famous Suite Vollard, a large number of noted lithographs, such as The Bull and Two Nude Women, and various linocuts, including his first major work, Young Woman after Lucas Cranach.
