Richard Diebenkorn

The Norton Simon Museum presents 14 rarely seen gouaches and two oil paintings from the early work of renowned American painter Richard Diebenkorn. One of the most important California artists of the 20th century, Diebenkorn is celebrated for both his abstract and figurative work. The exhibition features Diebenkorn’s dynamic abstract compositions drawn from the Museum’s collection and displayed in an intimate gallery setting alongside two oil paintings, including one from his famed Berkeley series.
