Virtual Tour: All Consuming: Hogarth's Gin Lane and Beer Street

Alex Kaczenksi, the Museum’s graduate intern for 2022–23, takes a closer look at William Hogarth’s Gin Lane and Beer Street, a pair of prints that reveal how artists questioned consumption habits of their day and addressed social matters, such as the dangers of temptation and excess, through their art. This video is part of a series that highlights works of art related to the exhibition All Consuming: Art and the Essence of Food.
