Treasures from the Himalayas: Sacred Treasures from Tibet, Nepal and Northern India

Treasures from the Himalayas: Sacred Images from Tibet, Nepal and Northern India  features approximately 15 masterpieces from the Museum’s permanent collection of Asian art. Beautiful examples of Himalayan gilded sculptures that exhibit graceful postures and sensuous modeling will be on view. Other works in a variety of media, including Buddhist and Hindu paintings, wooden book covers and a recent donation to the Museum—a 15th century plaque from Tibet—will accompany the sculptures presented in the exhibition.
