Virtual Tour: Goya's "Los Disparates"

In this short video, Curator Gloria Williams Sander spotlights Francisco de Goya’s “Giant (Bobalicón)” from “Los Disparates,” the artist’s imaginative and puzzling print series that may relate to Spanish proverbs or carnival game. As Sander explains, the scene might be a veiled attack on Spain’s church and nobility, which Goya felt did not adequately serve the Spanish people.
